The Alfa Laval Industrial Series is an extremely wide range of gasketed plate heat exchangers for a wide range of industries. The variety of plate and seal materials, sizes and options available is enormous. Every part has been carefully designed for optimum performance, maximum uptime and serviceability.

Versatile design

The versatility of the Industrial Series models allows them to be configured for applications ranging from relatively simple applications with low performance requirements to the most complex and advanced applications with the highest performance and documentation requirements. These devices are used for heating, cooling, heat recovery, condensation and evaporation.

Thanks to a carefully thought-out design, the Industrial Series heat exchangers are easy to maintain and have a long service life. Below are some design features:

• The ClipGrip™ seal is an adhesive-free seal with the highest positional accuracy for perfect sealing and ease of maintenance.
• Adhesive Seal – A two part hot cure epoxy adhesive that holds the seal in place during all heat exchanger cleaning procedures.
• CurveFlow™ Distribution Pad – Provides full utilization of the heat transfer surface and minimizes fouling.

Various types of plates

The Industrial Series heat exchangers are available with four different plate configurations:

• Single plate with chevron parallel flow serration for optimum thermal performance and pressure drop;
• Single plate with chevron pattern for diagonal flow providing optimal thermal performance of the heat exchanger when mounted horizontally and requiring full drainage;
• Dual plate designed for applications where extra precautions are needed to avoid mixing fluids;
• Dual Gemini plate designed for applications where extra precautions are needed to avoid fluid mixing and hygiene requirements are high.
